Nike | Bo Jackson Fitness Center
Occupying a prominent site at the heart of the 110 acre World Campus, the Bo Jackson Sports and Fitness Center was designed to demonstrate the essence of Nike to the world. The center places a basketball court in a crystalline showcase, axially aligned with a primary portal to the campus. Other features include an indoor running track, racquetball and squash courts, aerobic and weight training rooms, lockers and showers along with meeting rooms, juice bar, lounge, drop-in childcare space, and facilities for Nike’s Fitness Assessment Institute. The 60,000 s.f. center was constructed for Nike’s employees who work on the campus and the numerous athletes Nike has under contract. The design solution is strong yet simple and graphically expressive of the functions within.
