Nike | Ken Griffey Jr.

Originally designed by TVA Architects as a key component in Nike’s North Campus Expansion, the 96,000 square foot Ken Griffey, Jr. office building received LEED Gold for Existing Buildings certification at the 2005 Greenbuild International Conference – the first building in Oregon to receive this honor and, at the time, one of only 13 worldwide. TVA designed the space prior to the existence of the LEED rating system; however, it was constructed under PGE’s Earth Advantage Program and qualified as a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Energy Star Building. TVA helped provide Nike with a foundation of sustainable design that the corporation was able to build on in pursuing LEED-EB certification.
